The Center for General Education and Associate Professor Ma Mengqing from our institute shared research findings: "Competition and Transformation—The Art and Techniques of Ukiyo-e during the First Sino-Japanese War (1894-95)," offering a fresh perspective on ukiyo-e materials related to war themes during the Meiji period, distinct from past research.

After the lecture, the discussion was quite lively, with attending teachers and students actively asking questions and sharing ideas. There was in-depth discussion on topics such as the mutual influence of Japanese and Western art styles and how society views and accepts emerging cultural interactions.
