Abstract/Objectives
This course aim to teach the basic knowledge and skills of innovation and entrepreneurship management. Through business cases, literature reading and course activities, students can understand the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, then to explore the relationship between the spirit and economic development and business management. In addition, this course also led students to study and do research about the main issues that entrepreneurs actually concern about when they start a business through course presentations and discussions.
Results/Contributions
In addition to teaching entrepreneurship-related theories, group presentations were held every week to enables students to realize the characteristics of innovation and new ventures, as well as the management issues that new ventures face nowadays, such as how to analyze business opportunities and business model, fundraising and other related topics. Besides, at the end of semester, students are allowed to conduct a final project report, let students to choose any topics or fields they are interest in, and to came up with an innovative business plan. Through the final report, students can not only experience how to write a business proposal, but also try to manage a company/team.
