Abstract/Objectives
Attention plays an essential role in children’s learning based on executive function, emotional regulation, and learning performance. It also profoundly affects family relationships, peer interactions and social interactions (Faraone et al., 2015; Schmeichel, 2007). According to the data, 5% of the population in Taiwan are diagnosed with Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) (Ministry of health and welfare, 2015). Since there are 2 million students from elementary to senior high school according to the statistics from Ministry of Education of the academic year 106, 100,000 to 140,000 students might have ADHD. If we consider potential cases, the number will be more significant. When children can’t pay attention to details and are easily distracted by the external environment, they often do not have good family and school relationships and have long-term learning obstacles. Although such symptoms may improve with age, there is a high probability that ADHD affects work and family. For attention training and improvement, it is necessary to cooperate with children, parents and school teachers (Catalá-López, Ferrán, et al., 2017). A friendly, comprehensive, professional and continuous support system is beneficial for ADHD children, busy parents and novel teachers. The present team will develop the ADDititutor system, the first focused assessment and training system that combines neuroscience, learning theory and information engineering. Through non-drug and digital learning environment design, the training courses will reduce the burden on parents and teachers and improve children’s attention.
Results/Contributions

Our team merges digital learning, 3D-gaming, VR, child development and learning, cognitive behavioral science and childhood memory, physiological neurology, brain-computer interface, special education, clinical psychology, rehabilitation, and other professional fields, to integrate academic, practical, and other research evidence systematically to establish a database on attention-related behavior and neurophysiology of Taiwanese schoolchildren and build a digital optimization learning system with empirical basis. With Research Center for Education and Mind Sciences at Tsing-Hua University as the research and development base, combined with Hsinchu local hospitals, kindergartens, primary school special education resource centers, integration of education, medical care, and family as a complete brain-appropriate attention gain system life circle. Through non-drug and digital learning environment design theory of attention training courses, parents, teachers to improve the burden of attention, from improving school children’s attention performance to enhance their daily life, academic learning, higher cognitive function, etc.
