Abstract/Objectives
In the first year of this study, we developed The Development of Ethnic Identity for Indigenous Young Children Questionnaires. We also developed Teaching Children of Diverse backgrounds STEM Questionnaires. In the second year, we identified the teaching strategies and examined children’s scientific practices in urban and Indigenous areas. In the third year, we examined the effectiveness of a workshop regarding STEM projects for In-service teachers.
Results/Contributions
5 papers, 1 book, 4 conference papers, and 2 questionnaires were published. We hope this study provides insight into early STEM teaching efficacy, early STEM teaching practices, professional development, and young children’s development of science and engineering practices in the Indigenous areas.
