Abstract/Objectives
1. Introduce the basic concepts of intellectual property law. In addition to explaining the content of intellectual property rights in Taiwan, students will be equipped with basic intellectual property rights laws and related legal knowledge. 2. Through case discussions, students can better understand the actual operation and the interests of all parties. Therefore, this course will use dispute cases to lead students to discuss, think about, and master specific intellectual property law disputes. 3. Intellectual property rights are constantly emerging with various new problems in developing science and technology, network applications, and academic ethics. Therefore, this course will also add these new issues at any time, allowing students to think about the adjustment of intellectual property rights in the development of network technology and network applications; and intellectual property rights issues that students may enter into academic careers in the future.
Results/Contributions

After taking this class, students understand that intellectual property laws can encourage people to invest in creation, research and development. Furthermore, after people invest in creation, research and development, it will also make the overall society more advanced.

In addition, the teacher integrated the concepts of academic ethics and Internet infringement into the classroom. It lets students know more about the copyright issues that should be paid attention to when writing future academic papers, and also how to avoid copyright infringement when using the Internet.

Students who take the course can read the judgments of intellectual property courts and choose one of the dispute cases of patents, trademarks, and copyrights to report in class. From this learning process, students have learned: 1. Read court judgments. 2. Understand important legal provisions on patents, trademarks, and copyrights. 3. Understand specific disputes over intellectual property rights.
