Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
According to experts’ estimates, about 75% of the world’s food crops depend on "bees" for pollination, of which cereals account for 35% of global food production. In other words, without the help of bees, humans will fall into a food crisis. In 2006, news of the disappearance and death of bee colonies began to spread around the world. Millions of breeding bee nests collapsed. According to the research of entomologists, "solitary" bees can serve as "backup pitchers." To help pollinate flowers, fruits and vegetables, most of them are solitary and do not live in groups like Italian bees, such as clay pot bees, bumblebees, leaf-cutting bees...etc. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to: (1) Create a friendly habitat environment for solitary bees and look for strategies that can attract more pollinating insects. (2) Design a learning curriculum with SDGs as the core to promote the sustainable development consciousness and action ability of students.
