Abstract/Objectives
This course has four focuses: 1. Theory of interpretation of poetic life spirit, 2. Theory of poetic creation, 3. Theory of the origin of poetry development. 4. Discussion on famous poets and their masterpieces in different stages of history of poetry. Through the development of poetry history, some chapters are selected in each part, and the whole surface is connected through the contact of points, so that students can understand the background, process and phenomenon of the development of Chinese poetry. And properly guide students to master the rules of poetic creation and appreciation, so as to enhance their ability to analyze and comment on poetry phenomena.
Results/Contributions

1. Students can trace the source and understand the development of classical poetry.

2. Students can understand the poetic status of famous poets in various stages of Chinese poetry history and the artistic value of their masterpieces. Students can also empathize with the poets by understanding their life experiences and temperaments, so that they can experience the poets' unique personality patterns and creative personality.

3. Students have the ability to appreciate and evaluate poetry, cultivate their sentiments, enrich their imagination, and cultivate their sensitivity to language.

4. Students can recognize the overall beauty of classical poetry, appreciate the emotions in the poems, understand the essence of the poems, imagine the realm of the poems, and pursue the highest realm. It can improve literary literacy, cultivate noble sentiments, and have the ability to interpret, appreciate, analyze and comment on poetry.
