The "Hsinchu Literary Walk" project, launched by National Tsing Hua University in collaboration with Caiyu Technology, aims to establish a cultural and green tourism brand for the greater Hsinchu area. Through the design and promotion of five walking routes, the project seeks to broaden the image of Hsinchu beyond just meatballs, rice noodles, and chips, showcasing its beautiful natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The signing ceremony for the project was held on August 8, 2024, and five walking routes will be established between July and December 2024, with plans to create 30 routes in three years, in collaboration with the Hsinchu City and County governments and local organizations.
The core of the "Hsinchu Literary Walk" project is the integration of digital technology and cultural heritage translation, launching an app with features like location tracking, multimedia guides, interactive elements, and recording functions. The team of students from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences is designing interactive games and puzzle-solving challenges to enhance the enjoyment of the walks. Users can take photos, upload comments, and create personal videos to record their walking experiences. The project also plans to develop multilingual versions of the app to attract international tourists.
Additionally, the student team will work with the operating groups of the five walking routes to collect and interpret local cultural and historical data, transforming it into rich digital content that enhances the fun and interactivity of the walks. This project not only focuses on sustainable local development but also addresses the cultural and talent development of park-based enterprises. It provides Hsinchu Science Park employees with more recreational and cultural activities, helping them alleviate work pressure and strengthen their connection with the Hsinchu community. The ultimate goal is to promote sustainable development and urban prosperity in the Hsinchu Science Park through the integration of culture and technology.
