Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
1. The campus serves as the venue for daily teaching, research, living, and various activities for faculty, staff, and students. It is also an ideal place for leisure activities for residents of Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, and surrounding communities. Key activity areas on campus include Chenggong Lake, Mei Garden, Yi Garden, Butterfly Garden, and the Great Lawn. 2. Establish relevant venue equipment management and use regulations and charging standards for all public venues and facilities on campus to properly maintain the campus environment and manage usage conditions.
Results/Contributions

1. In line with NTHU's Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety and Health Management Policy, various campus sustainability development initiatives are continuously promoted. These include fostering campus biodiversity, responsible dining consumption, green procurement, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and resource recycling and reuse, aiming to create a green campus.

2. The NTHU campus is vast and adjacent to the 18 Peaks Mountain. The campus features areas such as Chenggong Lake and Xiangsi Lake, which contribute to a rich ecological environment that nurtures diverse wildlife. This provides an excellent recreational space for faculty, staff, and nearby community residents. Various campus landscapes, public art installations, and gardens are popular attractions for the general public.

3. All public facilities on campus are open to applications for use by units both inside and outside the campus, and relevant usage management regulations and appropriate fees are adopted to maintain the sustainable use and management of campus areas.
