Abstract/Objectives
We are trying to build a blockchain-based production and marketing platform from the place of production all the way to the dining table. We do so by collecting the environmental microclimate and sensor data of the place of production, attaching the QR code with blockchain traceability function during shipment, thus to provide consumers reliable information and planting conditions of the food products.
Results/Contributions
We are now applying this project into a vending machine of boxed meals in the campus. When purchasing boxed meals, consumers can scan the QR code on the package, then they can browse the webpage to obtain relevant traceability information and planting conditions (including visualized field planting data , crop harvesting, packaging, transportation and other related data), enhancing consumers' trust in the products and their buying willingness.
