Abstract/Objectives
In the meeting, we invited Mr. Song from Taiwan Imaging-Tek Corporation to give us an opening speech. What’s more, Mr. Yuan from the Taiwan Africa International Services Association led the team to introduce the plan of transforming international volunteers under the epidemic, and members in the club also shared their work content and mental journey with others. Besides, Mathew Opemba, the Coding Coach in the Kenyan office, shared the process and results of his local programming courses with our members. In addition, we also invited local students in Kenya to share their experience. They showed us the results of making small games with Scratch, expressed their gratitude for having these opportunities to learn skills which brought great changes to their lives, told us the challenges they have encountered, and shared their expectations for the future. Volunteers in Taiwan understood the current local situation better after their sharing. In the end, Grace, the team consultant of the NTHUpendo volunteers for education in East Africa, shared his teaching experience in Tanzania with everyone. The lively speech and those enthusiastic students in Kenya livened up the atmosphere, and the exchange meeting came to a successful conclusion.
