Abstract/Objectives

The aim of the project is to investigate the effects of scientific epistemic beliefs and inquiry abilities on students’ inquiry learning processes and learning performances in the digital biological inquiry learning environment. A digital biological inquiry learning environment and the learning modules will be developed for students’ inquiry learning. The eye-tracking method and the manipulation log data will be applied to examine how students embark on their inquiry processes (i.e., orientation, conceptualization, investigation, conclusion, and discussion) to disclose students’ learning processes and evaluate their learning performances. Students’ scientific epistemic beliefs and inquiry abilities will be examined to clarify the effects on their inquiry learning.
