Abstract/Objectives
This course is structured according to the creative process of painting and is divided into three parts:
1.Understanding the use of materials
2.Demonstrating fundamental painting techniques
3.Analyzing illustration styles and their commercial applications
Through hands-on practice, students will experiment with various materials to explore different forms of artistic expression, develop their unique illustration style, and learn how to convey emotions and messages through their work.
Results/Contributions
- Understanding the Use of Materials: Watercolor, colored ink, colored pencils, pastels.
- Demonstrating Basic Painting Techniques: Shape design, color mixing and application, light, shadow, and texture.
Analyzing Illustration Styles and Commercial Applications: Introducing the characteristics of illustration works from various countries and how they integrate with commercial purposes, enhancing visual communication and added value. Especially when illustrations appear across different media, their purposes can vary greatly. For example, the child-friendly nature of illustrations in children's picture books contrasts significantly with the informative nature of illustrations in product packaging.
