Abstract/Objectives
This course aims to cultivate students' knowledge and understanding of the energy technology, the development of modern energy industries, the benefits of energy storage systems for sustainable energy, as well as responsibility for sustainable environment.
Results/Contributions

Modern energy and sustainable environment are major issues faced by social development. In addition to promoting the development of the energy industry, it is also necessary to train engineers in energy technology and teach them responsibility for sustainability.

The course also covers the basic theories of electrochemistry along with important concepts of energy storage mechanisms of supercapacitors and ion batteries. It focuses on the characteristics and development of fuel cells, and introduces the current development of ion batteries as well as their overall market demand. The lectures about the principles of energy storage components and the basics of electrochemistry can effectively enhance students’ knowledge of modern energy technology, whereas the introduction to the characteristics and development of energy storage systems can promote students’ understanding of the development of the energy industry and market changes. The course aims to foster students' talents in order to bring the benefits for energy technology development.
