Abstract/Objectives
The purpose of this study was to explore the Creativity Problem Solving (CPS) performance of Gelotophobes in team Cooperation situation and Competitive situation. This study would assess the Divergent Thinking and the Convergent Thinking of CPS simultaneously. this study also explored the influences to CPS performances in two team situation made by gelotophobia’ s traits that lack of humor sense and their creativity tendency. The behavioral data collected in the pre-test and post-test included humor style questionnaire, creativity tendency scale, and personal paper test of insight thinking. The formal group practical experiments were two CPS tasks including divergent thinking and insight thinking.
Results/Contributions

The study conducted two-way ANCOVA and paired sample t-test, then showing the results as follows: (1) Gelotophobes’ divergent thinking performances would have lower performances than general people in both cooperative and competitive situation. The performances of Gelotophobes would be higher in competitive situation, and general people would have higher performances in cooperative situation; (2) Gelotophobes’ insight thinking performances would have lower performances than general people in both cooperative and competitive situation, and both of Gelotophobes and general people would have higher performance in cooperative situation; (3) Gelotophobes those assigned to the cooperative situation group would have improved in the personal insight thinking post-test; (4) Aggressive humor style tendency of Gelotophobes was higher than general people have, and there was no significant difference between pre-test and post-test; (5) Gelotophobes have lower creativity tendency in adventurous dimension than general people, and there was also no significant difference between pre-test and post-test.
