Abstract/Objectives

The College of Technology Management (CTM) at Tsing Hua University is proud to introduce the EMI Bilingual Learning Program, designed as part of the broader 2030 Bilingual Nation Project. This initiative invites students and faculty from various departments to participate in weekly sessions held every Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Kun Sheng Reading Lounge. The sessions focus on practicing English, engaging in language exchange, and fostering new friendships. Each meeting is tailored around different themes relevant to students planning to study or work abroad, providing a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere to enhance English proficiency.

Results/Contributions

The EMI Bilingual Learning Program has successfully created a dynamic environment for participants to improve their English communication skills while learning about diverse cultures. By integrating themed discussions, the program offers practical insights for those preparing for international experiences. The informal setting encourages active participation and linguistic exchange among attendees, enhancing their conversational abilities and cultural understanding. The provision of refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere has contributed to increased attendance and engagement, making the program a popular weekly event. This initiative not only supports the university’s goal to advance bilingual proficiency but also strengthens the academic and social community by connecting individuals from different disciplines.
