Results/Contributions

Research has found that taking the Pacific War as an example, under the rule of colonialism, children's education in concentration camps did exist. Unless schools at all levels were occupied or bombed and closed, they could still operate as shelters to some extent. In terms of the situation in Taiwan, children who were forced to stop studying at that time really stopped their studies. However, compared with the current Ukrainian-Russian war, we can find that the "Internet" has played a very strong educational function, with Ukrainian people fleeing to For example, neighboring countries may be hiding in underground bunkers. Physical schools have been bombed and have lost their functions, but school teachers still rely on Internet connections to continue their relationships with students, even though the schools have long been unable to provide school teachers with salaries. Physical schools then transformed into distance education, and the Internet became the lifeblood of maintaining education during the war. Ukrainian teachers also mentioned the sense of continuing daily life with a sense of ritual to prevent children from falling into the despair of the end of the world. This article believes that this is not only the teacher’s educational love or sense of responsibility, but also may be due to the state of anomie referred to by Durkheim. At this time, when people face the special situation of this war, they will try to stabilize the structure and function of the entire society. The structural function of school education itself is therefore regarded as a symbol of stability.
