Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract/Objectives
This meeting brings together scholars, researchers, and students who specialize in developmental biology from both domestic and international contexts. Through this exchange, we aim to discuss future research directions in developmental biology, and to bring together scholars who use different model organisms to study this field. Seeking exchanges of knowledge and inspiration for experimentation, as well as exploring how to apply the results of basic research to the development of disease models.
Results/Contributions

A total of 190 people participated in this conference, including 177 people of domestic nationality and 13 foreigners. There were ten oral presentations given by students or postdoctoral researchers, and 73 research posters were presented. Among them, 10 poster presenters were selected to give short flash talks to share their research with the audience. In order to encourage students and postdoctoral researchers to present their research results, this seminar planned two forms of presentation, oral and poster, and awarded a total of ten prizes.

The domestic and international renowned scholars who participated in this conference highly praised the intention of the organizers to host this conference, and believed that the achievements demonstrated in this conference can serve as a reference for future conferences.

Overall, the following goals have been achieved in this conference:

1. To increase the importance of developmental biology in domestic basic scientific research and establish a platform for academic exchange and communication with relevant international counterparts.

2. Through the seminar, to enhance international friends' deeper understanding of Taiwan's fundamental research in developmental biology and to elevate our country's visibility and international status in the field of research and innovation.

3. To drive and activate the domestic developmental biology research community, and to promote diversified development through the use of different model organisms for research, such as breakthroughs in medical methods and new drug development.

To cultivate new talents and encourage outstanding young students to engage in the field of developmental biology.
