Abstract/Objectives
This music appreciation course is designed to connect students with music closely related to their lives, aiming to enhance their understanding and enjoyment of music both broadly and deeply. It starts with music appreciation, encouraging students to experience music actively, think critically about various topics, and stimulate their creativity while familiarizing themselves with local music culture. The course adopts a cyclical approach to improve critical thinking and creativity, aspiring for a cross-disciplinary aesthetic practice that merges music with other fields. Students will explore various music genres such as classical, film, dance, theatrical, and folk music, learning about instruments and musical styles. This comprehensive exposure aims to expand their musical knowledge and aesthetic literacy, motivating them to engage in artistic and cultural activities and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music beyond the course.
Results/Contributions

The music appreciation materials arranged for this course are selected from music works that are closely related to students' lives. Through this course's introduction to music, we aim to broaden students' appreciation of music in terms of both breadth and depth. The course begins with music appreciation, allowing students to experience music, engage in critical thinking on various topics, stimulate creativity, and become familiar with local music culture, thereby establishing a connection with it and integrating it with their own professional fields. This cyclical approach aims to enhance students' critical thinking and creativity, with the goal of achieving cross-disciplinary aesthetic practice that combines music with other areas. The music introduced in this course includes various types such as classical music, film music, dance music, theatrical music, and folk music, as well as teaching students about instruments, musical styles, and forms, thus expanding their musical horizons and enhancing their aesthetic literacy. This will encourage them to actively participate in related artistic and cultural activities, ensuring that the benefits of lifelong learning continue even after the course concludes.
