Abstract/Objectives
To enhance the academic research exchanges among the laboratories of the Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM), our Institute has held 16 times of “the IMM annual retreat meeting". Teachers and students responded very well to these previous events. This year (2021) is the 17th time this event is held. On the first day of this activity, doctoral students gave oral presentations, and master and doctoral students presented posters for their research progress. On the second day, we went hiking on the Dakeng Trail in Taichung area and also visited National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts to enjoy several art exhibitions.
Results/Contributions (500 words)

1.On the first day of this event, 5 doctoral students gave oral presentations, and 18 master and doctoral students gave poster presentations.

2.By oral presentations, students can improve their oral expression skills, organization ability, field control ability, etc. By poster presentations, students can communicate with teachers and colleagues from different laboratories. By attending this event, students can also learn how to ask good questions.

3.A total of 49 people participated in the activities on the second day, including 6 teachers, 41 students, and 2 family members.

4.Through this activity, teachers and students not only exchanges their research experience and progress, but the off-campus activities (go hiking and visit art galleries) also relieve their pressure accumulated in school or laboratory.  It will not only promote the physical and mental health of students, but also build up friendship among peers,  and strengthen the relationship between teachers and students.
