NTHU Campus Walking Map Design Workshop
This experimental workshop combines design thinking with campus-based observation. Starting from the everyday act of walking, participants will integrate the campus Happy to Chat initiative with design thinking methods to create a campus walking map and propose locations for Happy to Chat badge stations.
What is Happy to Chat?
The Happy to Chat initiative aims to encourage conversations between strangers on campus. By wearing a Happy to Chat badge, you signal that you are open and willing to engage in conversation. Anyone can wear the badge anytime, anywhere, as long as they feel open to connecting with others.
In this workshop, you will:
- Reflect on and analyze your own walking and interaction experiences on campus
- Use design thinking methods to identify walking routes and suitable locations for Happy to Chat badge stations
- Conduct on-site observation and validation
- Collaborate with teammates to develop design proposals
