Abstract/Objectives
The three major festivals in Chinese culture are the Lunar New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Known for evoking feelings of homesickness, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated during the cool autumn season under a full moon, which makes many students long for home even more. Each year, our office organizes a Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake event, distributing Taiwanese-style mooncakes and pineapple cakes to overseas Chinese and mainland students. Additionally, we prepare pomelos for students to try their hand at pomelo art or wearing pomelo hats, creating a unique and memorable Mid-Autumn Festival experience.
Results/Contributions

During the event, students eagerly shared how mooncakes are enjoyed in their home countries, such as lotus seed paste mooncakes and double-yolk white lotus seed paste mooncakes, which are quite different from Taiwan's mooncake culture. Overseas Chinese and mainland students studying at our school were also open to trying Taiwanese-style mooncakes. Many praised the pineapple cakes and salted egg yolk pastries for their delicious flavors, with some even expressing their intention to take these treats home as gifts to share with their families.
