The Touqian River Project, led by a senior professor at the University, is an integrated, cross-cutting environmental protection and sustainable development program that aims to restore the natural ecology of Touqian Creek, promote local cultural heritage, and create local economic value. The program promotes community awareness of water resource protection through a series of activities, particularly focusing on the protection and sustainable use of the river.
We support and organize a series of activities including:
Environmental Protection Actions: Regular river cleanups are held to mobilize community members to clean up waste and improve the ecology of the river.
Seminars on the sustainable use of water resources: We work with local governments, businesses and academics to promote discussions on the sustainable use of water resources, and share best practices for solving water pollution and reducing waste.
Environmental Education: Promote river conservation programs for schools and communities. Through on-site teaching, guided tours, and community activities, young people will learn about the value of conserving river resources and participate in conservation actions.
The goal of these activities is to strengthen the protection of the water resources of Touqian Creek and to realize sustainable development through community participation, so that the local ecology, economy and society can grow together in harmony.
