1. Maintaining environmental sustainability by promoting programs designed to develop ecological diversity and to provide responsible catering service, upholding green procurement, energy saving, carbon reduction as well as resource recycling policies to create and maintain a green campus.
2. In order to balance the implementation of project construction and the protection of the campus landscape environment, NTHUl has set up a campus landscape environment review committee to review various cases regarding the campus topography, landforms, vegetation, building appearance, and ecological environment.
3. Due to the diversity and richness of the campus ecology of NTHU, in order to avoid the impact of "dengue fever vector mosquitoes", "lychee stink bugs", "red fire ants", "warty-breasted glass ants", etc. on the activities of teachers and students on campus, and to avoid the poisoning, injury or death of insects, birds and animals that inhabit during environmental maintenance and management due to related disinfection operations, the disinfectants used by manufacturers are required not to contain "organophosphorus" ingredients, and must use environmental chemicals with a license number approved by the Ministry of Environment. Make an announcement before the disinfection operation, and ask relevant units to take preventive measures in advance.
4. When controlling warty-breasted glazed ants, baits made of boric acid and sugar are placed around the building; trees around the building are trimmed regularly to prevent ants from entering the building through branches; registration-free plant protection materials such as saponin are used to spray ant colonies on the plants to achieve control effects by suffocating the ants; environmental cleaning is strengthened, and garbage or accumulated debris is removed to reduce the habitat of ants and other ecological methods.
