Results/Contributions

A research team focused on the Touqian River, led by senior professors at the university, collaborates with local environmental NGOs to conduct stream conservation volunteer training programs. After completing the training, these volunteers visit 31 elementary schools, organizing a total of 50 stream-related lectures. These sessions aim to help students understand the relationship between streams and drinking water, the critical importance of protecting water environments, and the impact of stream ecosystems on local communities. Through interactive presentations and hands-on activities, students are encouraged to appreciate the natural water cycle and become advocates for environmental protection in their daily lives. This program not only raises awareness but also fosters a sense of responsibility among young students for preserving the natural water resources around them.
